“I won’t describe what I look like. Whatever you’re thinking, it’s probably worse.”
August Pullman was born with a facial deformity that changed his whole life. He was home schooled up until now when he enters the fifth grade at Beecher Prep. Inside, Auggie’s an ordinary kid. The kids at his school think differently. Meanwhile his sister Via is entering High School and finds her friends completely changed. Follow five extremely different characters in a funny, beautiful, heart warming story.
I would recommend this to anyone who is ready to cry and celebrate. If you are in fifth grade it’s a great age but it never hurts to read it earlier or later.
